KH HealthPlus: A Journey of Innovation in Medical Tourism (2010 – 2022)
2010:
- July: A personal experience with a kidney transplant in India sparks the vision for KH HealthPlus. Founder witnesses the potential for affordable, high-quality healthcare in India, but identifies a critical gap related to communication.
- August: Witnessing the struggles of fellow patients due to language barriers, the founder takes the initiative to bridge the gap by offering translation services. This venture leads to the realization of a promising business opportunity.
Early Growth (2010 – 2013):
- Late August: Leaving a previous role at an NGO, the founder establishes a full-time medical translation business, partnering with an Indian hospital to support Cambodian patients.
- October: KH HealthPlus expands its network, associating with a group of 40 hospitals across India to facilitate patient referrals and translation services.
Diversification and Expansion (2013 – 2017):
- 2013: A landmark year! KH HealthPlus facilitates the first liver transplant referral to India. This success leads to partnerships with all hospitals within the 40-hospital group. Additionally, the company expands its scope by referring the first cases for neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery (hip replacement), and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
- 2015: KH HealthPlus enters the field of oncology by referring its first cancer patient for treatment in India.
- 2016: Recognizing the potential in neighbouring Thailand, KH HealthPlus establishes partnerships with super specialty hospitals in the country.
- 2017: The company continues its regional expansion, associating with hospitals in Vietnam and Malaysia. This year also marks a significant milestone with the first successful liver resurrection case facilitated by KH HealthPlus.
Birth of KH HealthPlus4U (2018 – Present):
- 2018: Building upon the success of its referral services, KH HealthPlus takes a bold step by establishing a full-fledged medical tourism company – KH HealthPlus4U.
- 2019: KH HealthPlus4U celebrates a remarkable achievement – facilitating referrals for a staggering 400 kidney transplants.
- 2020: The company demonstrates its expertise in complex procedures by successfully referring 25 patients for liver transplants and 50 patients for critical cancer treatments.
- 2022: KH HealthPlus4U continues to forge strategic partnerships, expanding its network to include the Max Super Speciality Hospital group, along with other renowned Indian institutions like Medanta, Apollo, Amrita, and QRG hospitals.
- 2023- KH HealthPlus4U continues to expand domestic partnership with various hospitals and specialist doctors in Cambodia.
